Day 3 Split - Split is a charming historical town set against the ancient walls of Diocletian’s palace. For beautiful views of the pedestrianised Old Town, walk through the fisherman’s quarter of Varos up the narrow stone steeped streets. You could also visit the Split cathedral and Mestrovic gallery for an insight into the history and architecture of this town.
Day 4 At Sea - At Sea
Day 5 Santorini - Santorini (or Thira) is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. The island is described as the most scenically dramatic of all the Greek Islands – blessed with rugged landscapes, stunning caldera (volcanic crater), and an array of beautiful beaches - including Perissa, Kamari, and the famous Red Beach. Stroll among the white-washed churches and clifftop houses of Fira and Oia and purvey the spectacular vista below.
Day 6 Sarande - Sarande is an ancient charming city set against the Albania Riviera. Nearby Butrint is a national heritage site where you can see an impressive Roman amphitheatre, Roman temple with mosaic floors and an abundance of buildings built through the periods. For spectacular views travel up to the old Castle of Lekures where you will see Sarande Bay below, the mountains, Butrint Lagoon and the island of Corfu on the beautiful Ionian Sea.
Day 7 Dubrovnik - This picture-perfect medieval walled city offers ancient stone buildings, narrow cobbled streets and fortified ramparts rising above red-tiled rooftops. Stradun is the city's focal point and main artery while Dubrovnik's streets are blessedly free of vehicular traffic. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the old city remains the pride of the Republic of Croatia and houses the world’s oldest pharmacy.
Day 8 Ancona - Ancona is an important port city on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Its cathedral is set on the mountain overlooking Ancona and is a ‘must see’ destination when visiting this medieval centre. Visit the monument built by Mussolini on the waterfront and take in the glorious vistas of a coastline that extends from Venice to Pescara with mainly flat sandy beaches.
Day 9 Venice - Disembark your ship - MSC Sinfonia
MSC Sinfonia may be a small cruise ship by today’s leviathan standards but she still manages to encompass a lot of comfort, quality and choice for her guests. From active to relaxing cruise holidays, Sinfonia manages to provide a setting for both. You may choose to spend a morning at Le Terme, the tranquil spa where a soothing massage and cleansing sauna await; or why not perfect your golf swing with the Virtual Golf Simulator. When you’ve worked up an appetite, there are plenty of restaurants to try from the elegant Café Le Baroque to the modern La Terrazza Buffet.
